Tina has 25 years of experience in nursing and specializes in palliative care, frailty, managing patients with complex needs. She leads on Care Home and housebound patients and dementia care. She won Beacon of Hope Award in 2021 and she is a keen gardener and walker.
Katie Cobain
Nurse practitioner
Katie qualified as a registered nurse in 2005 from Manchester University. She has worked within District Nursing teams in Tameside, Stockport, and Australia. She spent 6 years in Perth, Western Australia delivering hospital care in people’s homes. She also worked as a Cancer nurse for the Cancer Council WA. On her return to the UK, Katie has been welcomed at Sett Valley and gained practice nursing skills such as baby immunizations, contraception, and cervical screening. She has keen interests in women’s health and cancer care.
Fiona Roscoe
Advanced nurse practitioner
Fiona has 25 years of experience in primary care settings in different nursing roles based in surgeries, hospitals, and home visiting. She is experienced with acute and chronic illnesses, palliative care, and also sees patients with Diabetes. Fiona is qualified to see patients from age 3 months to 100 plus.
Jennie Duckworth
Practice pharmacist
Jennie graduated from the University of Bath and qualified as a pharmacist in 2006. Jennie joined the practice in 2022. She has completed a clinical diploma and is qualified as a non medical prescriber.

Elizabeth O’Sullivan
Practice nurse
MSc BSc & PGDip
After qualifying as a Nurse in 2008 from GMIT in Co. Mayo Ireland, Elizabeth spent two years in A&E, followed by 12 years in Intensive Care. Since moving back to the UK in 2022 Elizabeth has moved to primary care. Since joining Sett Valley Medical Centre as a Practice Nurse Elizabeth has gained new skills in Adult & Child immunisations, Cervical screening, Long Term Condition reviews and also assists with minor operations.
Diane Oates
Practice nurse
Diane qualified in 1986 at Huddersfield School of Nursing and spent most of her early nursing career working on surgical wards in various hospitals across Yorkshire before becoming a Practice Nurse in 2007. She is experienced in the management of Long Term Conditions, Cervical Screening, Immunisations for adults & children – including travel vaccinations – wound care and injections. She enjoys days out in the countryside, reading and has tread the boards in amateur dramatic productions.

Cheryl Joined the practice in 2023 after working for many years in the community. Cheryl has experience working with the elderly and adults with learning disabilities. Cheryl is able to provide phlebotomy, ECG’s, Diabetic checks, NHS health checks and more to our patients.
