If you are on medication which is to be continued or repeated, you can use the NHS Electronic Prescription Service, or EPS for short.
EPS is an NHS service that allows us to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy of your choice, without the need for a paper copy. This can save you time, as you do not need to come to the surgery to pick up your prescription.
All patients on repeat medication can use the service. To do so, you need to
nominate a pharmacy of your choice. You can do this either by visiting the pharmacy, or by speaking to us at the Surgery.
Once you have nominated a pharmacy, you should request your repeat medication in the usual way. We will then prepare your prescription and send it to your nominated pharmacy electronically.
EPS is reliable, secure and confidential. Your electronic prescription be seen by the same people at Sett Valley Medical Centre and within your nominated pharmacy who would see your paper prescription.
