High Peak CAB offers appointments to patients at the Practice. It can advise on most issues, including benefit claims and appeals, debt, housing (including repossession and eviction), employment and consumer matters. It can help patients complete claim forms, and refers eligible clients to other specialists in housing, employment, welfare benefits and debt advice if appropriate. CAB’s service is free, independent, confidential and impartial.
The CAB sees clients on Monday mornings between 9.30-12.30pm, offering 45 minute slots, and clients are asked to book their appointments with the surgery’s reception staff. CAB can also visit clients in their homes, if they are severely disabled and cannot get into the surgery - please leave a message at the surgery and the adviser will telephone to make arrangements for a visit. All GP project workers have had DBS checks.
